Ad comes after successful FEF paid media campaigns in North Carolina and Michigan that resulted in Cornel West appearing on the November ballot
The Fair Election Fund, a national election integrity watchdog group, today released a new TV ad targeting five liberal Justices on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court who are considering blocking Cornel West from the ballot. The ad is airing as the Justices consider West’s appeal for ballot access after he was removed from the ballot by Commonwealth Court Judge Renee Cohn Jubelirer last month.
The 30-second spot highlights how efforts to keep West off the ballot in Pennsylvania by Democrat Josh Shapiro’s administration disenfranchise thousands of black voters and are the real Jim Crow 2.0.

BACKGROUND
- The Fair Election Fund ran a six-figure paid media campaign in Michigan targeting Secretary of State Benson for her efforts to keep Cornel West off the ballot. The decision was overturned by the Michigan Court of Appeals who ruled that Cornel West must appear on the ballot in Michigan.
- The Fair Election Fund spent over $375,000 on a paid media campaign in North Carolina after Democrats on the North Carolina State Board of Elections voted to block Cornel West from the ballot. The Board of Elections decision was eventually overturned by the Eastern District Court of North Carolina and West will be on the ballot in the Tar Heel State.
The Fair Election Fund is a watchdog group that was formed in May and will spend over $5 million in 2024 to shine a light on fraud and abuse still occurring in our election system.
