Fair Election Fund Launches into Potential Donor Fraud by ActBlue, Biden-Harris Campaign

Initial investigation found 60,000 irregularities in reported donations
Hundreds of data records will be turned over to Republican Attorneys General to further investigate

The Fair Election Fund, a national election integrity watchdog group, today announced initial discoveries from an investigation into ActBlue and the Biden-Harris campaign for potential donor fraud. The first phase of the group’s investigation conducted from late July to early August found over 60,000 potential cases where individuals listed as small dollar donors on the Biden-Harris campaign’s recent FEC report did not recall making the donation that was listed in their name.

The Fair Election Fund is continuing to interview these potential leads and has also turned over the data on hundreds of verified leads to Republican Attorneys General from across the country who will continue to conduct or may initiate investigations, including:

  • Steve Marshall, Attorney General of Alabama
  • Mike Hilgers, Attorney General of Nebraska
  • Kris Kobach, Attorney General of Kansas
  • Jason Miyares, Attorney General of Virginia
  • Ken Paxton, Attorney General of Texas

The Fair Election Fund spent $250,000 to obtain and verify its 60,000 leads and will continue to add to its investment in the coming weeks. One of the issues the group will probe is why ActBlue did not have proper security protocols and donor verification processes in place until recently, including not having a CVV code requirement for donations via credit card.
Doug Collins, Fair Election Fund Senior Advisor and former US Congressman from Georgia, released the following statement:

“Fighting for fair elections means a lot more than just ensuring the American people can have confidence in the voting process, and that’s why the Fair Election Fund is expanding to this new frontier of election integrity. If the Democrat money machine is secretly stealing the identities of unsuspecting Americans in order to launder money to Kamala Harris then it will be the biggest scandal in modern presidential history and the perpetrators will be held accountable. We must get to the bottom of these irregularities to give the public peace of mind that the fundraising landscape in this election is free from fraud and we will not rest until we do.”

Steve Marshall, Attorney General of Alabama, released the following statement:

“We are grateful to Fair Election Fund for sharing these concerning findings with us, as we explore whether any of our constituents have been defrauded by Act Blue. Any donor fraud whatsoever compromises the fairness of our elections and cannot be tolerated. Our republic depends upon Americans trusting the electoral process and we will aggressively pursue any lead that threatens to undermine public confidence.”

Ken Paxton, Attorney General of Texas, released the following statement:

“My office takes election integrity very seriously. We are actively monitoring various allegations of fraud across many related issues, and we will evaluate this information quickly with every effort to uphold the law.”

Many Americans were taken completely off guard when the Fair Election Fund informed them they were listed as a donor to the Biden-Harris campaign. Responses we received included:

  • “Not sure, but I can’t find any record of it.”
  • “I am 80 yrs. Can’t remember.”
  • “I didn’t know how to send a donation.”
  • “I don’t give money out for any political reason.”
  • “I don’t have money to donate to any campaign.”
  • “I have changed credit cards though because of fraudulent charges. “
  • “I have never and will never donate.”
  • “Never authorized anything for anyone’s campaign.”

BACKGROUND
The ActBlue investigation is just the latest in the Fair Election Fund’s efforts to expose fraud in our election system. In June, The Fund awarded $50,000 in bounties to whistleblowers with first-hand knowledge of voter fraud or election administration issues in Michigan, Connecticut, Georgia, and North Carolina.

The organization has also spent over $375,000 on a paid media campaign in North Carolina targeting three Democrats on the North Carolina State Board of Elections who refused to certify ballot access for Cornel West’s presidential campaign.

The Fair Election Fund is a watchdog group that was formed in May and will spend over $5 million in 2024 to shine a light on fraud and abuse still occurring in our election system. Those who expose wrongdoing could be compensated from the Fair Election Fund’s whistleblower protection fund. Those who want to contact the Fair Election Fund regarding potential election fraud can share their story at thefairelectionfund.com or call 301-388-8733⁩.
