Fair Election Fund Launches Paid Media Campaign Declaring Victory Over Marc Elias and His Voter Suppression Scheme

The six-figure buy exposes the Democrat operative’s racist legal efforts to block ballot access for Cornel West

The Fair Election Fund, a national election integrity watchdog group, announced a six-figure paid media blitz highlighting how it defeated the voter suppression efforts of national Democrats. The campaign will expose Marc Elias’s failed racist lawsuits that tried to disenfranchise thousands of black voters who signed petitions to get Cornel West on the ballot in their respective battleground states.

The paid media effort began Tuesday and includes a full page ad in the Washington Post print edition, mobile billboards that will circle around the Elias Law Group office and the Democratic National Committee headquarters, and digital ads that will be geo-targeted to the same locations.

A preview of one of the ads is below:

Doug Collins, Fair Election Fund Senior Advisor and Former US Congressman from Georgia, released the following statement:

“In a great victory for Democracy and voting rights, Marc Elias and his band of Democrat operatives failed in their racist election interference scheme to block Cornel West from the ballot. Our election system prevailed over a well-funded, coordinated effort from the Democrat elites trying to stack the deck in Kamala Harris’ favor. The Fair Election Fund will continue to expose the Democrats’ hypocrisy and protect the integrity of our elections.”

As Real Clear Politics chronicled late last week, the Fair Election Fund since July has invested over $750,000 in paid media efforts to expose the Democrats’ attempts to block Kamala Harris’s competition from the ballot. The Fair Election Fund invested in states such as North Carolina, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. BACKGROUND ON DEMOCRAT’S FAILED ELECTION INTERFERENCE

  • Clear Choice Action was formed in March by Democrat Party elites to stop any third-party or independent candidates from gaining traction before the November election. The Elias Law Group led legal challenges to third party ballot access on behalf of Clear Choice Action.
  • Clear Choice Action directly filed challenges in North Carolina and Michigan to block Cornel West from the ballot. The Elias Law Group also sent a threatening letter to the Virginia Department of Elections for including Cornel West on the ballot.

BACKGROUND ON FAIR ELECTION FUND

  • Fair Election Fund launched a “Thank You” ad campaign for Governor Youngkin and Attorney General Miyares after the Virginia Department of Elections reversed their initial ruling and affirmed that Cornel West will appear on Virginia ballots in November.
  • The Fair Election Fund ran a TV ad in Pennsylvania targeting five liberal justices on the Supreme Court as they considered blocking Cornel West from the ballot in the Commonwealth.
  • The Fair Election Fund ran a six-figure paid media campaign in Michigan targeting Secretary of State Benson for her efforts to keep Cornel West off the ballot. The decision was overturned by the Michigan Court of Appeals and affirmed by the Michigan Supreme Court who ruled that Cornel West must appear on the ballot in Michigan.
  • The Fair Election Fund spent over $375,000 on a paid media campaign in North Carolina after Democrats on the North Carolina State Board of Elections voted to block Cornel West from the ballot. The Board of Elections decision was eventually overturned by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina and West will be on the ballot in the Tar Heel State.

The Fair Election Fund is a watchdog group that was formed in May and will spend over $5 million in 2024 to shine a light on fraud and abuse still occurring in our election system. Those who expose wrongdoing could be compensated from the Fair Election Fund’s whistleblower protection fund.
